Sorry MAV.
I've searched everywhere but all I've come up with is this. It's not much use to you though. I'm sure it was dan83590 who did a bulb conversion.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Hi,
What bulb types are there by default?
On my '89 model, I have adapted H4 bulbs instead of CE (old non halogen), and recently LED bulbs for H4.
Both headlights work together...

My left light had only high beams; the right one had both. I simply hardwired the low beam from one bulb to the other, bearing in mind that the LED power consuption is way below 25w (25w x2 = 50w, just under the low beam power consumption which is 55w for each bulb).
I now have got 2x H4 LED for low beam and high beam.
It can be more tricky if you have got different bulb types, but anyhow feasible.
Sorry I can't come and help, being on the continental side of the Channel
P.S. : good luck for the Brexit!

Hi
Sorry i did not mention the oe bulbs for the projector head light on the RU
are not a standard fitting like H4 ect.
They are a lot smaller backing plate, they are marked KOTO JAPAN 12V55/40W but no numbers.
I think i am going to have to try and modify a backing plate on a standard bulb.

Some LED headlights come with a range of different bases, which are interchangeable - perhaps what you need is in one of those kits?
On the bay they often have pictures of the various adapters. Might be an avenue that you can explore.

This is strange... I have never heard about these bulbs; they look like shortened H4...
Has your bike not been originally manufactured for Japan or something of the kind? (just trying to find the reason...)
