WANTED: Rear Seat Cowl '92

Post by kboehringer »

FZR Friends,
Although I need several parts to complete the restoration of my FZR. It appears one of the more difficult parts to find is the rear seat cowl I'm missing.

I've been scouring E-Bay USA, UK and AU for several months without success.

If anyone has one or sees one, please let me know. I am more than capable for repairing a damaged piece. I will certainly pay a generous price for one.

There's one here for a 93.

SEAT COWL
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Posting to the USA

Post by kboehringer »

Nuggitt,
I've sent a message to the seller asking if he will post to the USA. He lists dozens of countries he will post to but does not list USA.

When I search from a USA IP Address, e-bay will never show me an item that does not list shipping to the USA. As a result, I never saw this one listed in the UK. Also, it will not allow me to bid on the item when USA is not listed.

Hopefully, he will offer shipping here. But, he will have to modify his listing so I can bid on it.

We have a great, if diminishing community here. Been the same since its foundation all those years ago. Still got all my hair and teeth.
Keep on keepin' on.

Nuggitt saved the day.....

Post by kboehringer »

FZR Friends,
Nuggitt helped my out and grabbed the piece for me. :) :) :)

I would like to extend the same offer of help to all of my friends here on EXUP1000.co.uk if there is anything you need in the States I'll be absolutely happy to help get the needed items over to the UK.

To date, I've only been able to provide a small assist to one of the guys here. You have helped me find MULTIPLE items for the FZR and even a couple items for my FJ1200.

Give me the chance to repay the many favors!

P.S. Nancy I and I have been talking about taking a nice vacation one day to the UK.... Maybe I will get a chance to meet all the great folks that have helped me here.

Teego,
I believe you are correct. My guy should be able to do this pretty easy. He's not much of a "Fabricator" as far as I can tell. He asked me to help him change his tyres on his HD.   Great with seats..... not so much so with "Mechanical Stuff".

I'll take a piece of mild steel and drill and tap it for the mounting and he will cover that pretty easy.
