Hello
Just a bit too far for me to help you then sorry
But there are experts on here to help you with the Valve.
First off, have you managed to remove the outer chrome cover for the exup valve or are those bolts too badly rusted?
If it's off, you should then see three more bolts holding the valve outer plate to the exhaust box section. The cables are easy to get at from there.
Guessing these are the ones that are rusty.
My sons FZS1000 gives the error code too at the moment, even though it's well maintained. It's laid up for winter and it's so cold. But when I run it for a minute, the error code stops. Will service it in Spring to make sure it 'flip flops' in the housing.
Guessing your code just continues though?
Need to get the exhaust nice and hot and somehow get them three bolts out holding the valve plate in place. They're known to snap so try teasing with penetrating fluid and heat over and over. Otherwise you'll be asking STIG for special favours!
Keep us up to date.
And this is worth reading too, GREAT bikes, but I still have my FZR too!
