wire location

Post by curragh »

Hi all, just putting the back of the bike together and this wire pictured
has come off. Should it be connected to the battery negative lead? May be someone might know.

I can't see a picture of a wire. But if it's a red and white wire on the left hand It doesn't go anywhere. It's a spare one for something or other, I can't remember What.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

No it is a black wire on a block connector, it comes out of the main loom at the battery box to a connector and then there is about 9 inches at the other side of the connector.

It's behind you. Oh no it isn't.

It would help if you could get a photo of it.

That looks like the harness/ auxillary earth.

If you not find the other chopped off end I am pretty sure it should have a ring terminal on it and go to the battery negative.
