Just found this picture I took recently of another "Goldie" belonging to a friend. This one has the original steel tank fitted. The quality of this picture against my other photos is startling!

Interesting pair of flares in photo 3. Whose the old guy losing his lunch in the last one? Bikes are good tho.

My dad has got 3 velocettes now and his mate has gold star all absolutely mint I'll take some pics and get them on here, had a lot to do with two of them when restoring them from powder coating all the bits to making engine plates and respoking the wheels, been out on them a few times and I can honestly say they are great to ride.

Interesting that John. Reminds me of how we all did that sort of thing then. Not had to do any of that since I started riding modern Japanese bikes. The trick is to buy a good example and then look after it I suppose. Back in those days I never had the money to do that so a strip and rebuild was the only way to end up with a good bike

That "old guy" ( I'm older than him

) is my mate Les from way back. It was him that took the photos of my bike at Oliver's Mount. A very clever bloke is Les, currently building 3 bikes at the moment. One an original 500 "Goldie", hence his close scrutiny of the bike in the picture. Two, a Seely 500 Gold Star and three, a Manx Triton.

I'll try to find some more pictures and put them up if I can.

I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned "the flairs"

Another Gold Star with that "old guy" again....

A beautiful Manx Norton.... Both these bikes live in the dining room. Where else?

A home made Honda 250cc 4 cylinder. All fabricated and made by the chap who owns the above bikes. It uses an imported 250 4 engine.

The same bike but with that same "old guy" yet again.

A Seely Gold Star

Another Gold Star. You can probably tell by now that I have a bit of a thing about older bikes and "Goldies" in particular
