Ebay links

Post by tunguska »

[Edited - admin]

Guys, if you're gonna post an Ebay link could you please trim it at the end of the item number? Everything that comes after is junk and doesn't affect the performance of the link.

Really long links totally screw up the layout of the forum pages because they don't wrap, the window just gets wider and wider and wider ...

Many thanks!

Time's up, out you come... :D

I didn't mean to pick on anyone in particular, sorry about that. It's Ebay's fault for sticking a great long breadcrumb trail into every URL - it's only meaningful to their servers and completely over the top if all you want to do is link to a particular item.

Still, Ebay does have its uses...

That's a good idea but rather than make it a sticky which I'd probably end up having to repeat in every forum, I'll transfer it to the Announcements later on, ok? I've got a bit of site work to do this weekend :unibrow:
