been playing
started playing with the old fz a couple of weeks ago, i got the 'what are you going to do with that thing' bit !
bought a yzf tank of krazyneil which ment cutting the frame and rebraceing it a bit
then i thought i would put the battery under the tank where the airfilter was, going to have it the other way up !
there is a lot of room under there, so i am going to put my electrics there, ontop of the battery on a plate, including a new fusebox, and mount the coils under it
then roadhog said he had a rear end for sale of his gennie, yzf750 all done to fit his frame which has the same dims as the fz750, that was 6 months ago, finaly got it yesterday, complete with blue spot conversion and hugger
might need a little jiggerypokery chain is a bit close swinger , i might space front sprocket and 530 chain it
next job this lot
thats tdm900 yolks with exup forks and a hagon z750 shock fz750 2mg with 911 conversion exup carbs, dynojet stage 3
was thinking of useing an r6 seat and tail unit
got some work to on the house for a week but will update when i do some more

I would turn the battery round if it was me, just spin the lower bracket and pop it underneath type thing to give the terminals more room at the top...they might be sealed but they still have fluid in them.
Looking good though very neat job.

Is that how its meant to be mate? I topped one these batteries up with a little distilled water and saved it, I still have it in use. It only has little black rubber covers over each cell and i would trust it on its side to be honest. The electrolite soaks into like a white felt type stuff around the plates and i think makes a gel but its still acid and if it got hot I am not sure I would trust it.Metalface wrote:The battery lies flat on its side on my R1 so I doubt it would make any differance turning it round.
