I want to get off a bike and feel some kind of pain, otherwise it feels like I ain't been trying hard enough!) 200 mile range and will potter about if you want to no problems, just waft along on massive torque!
Riding position is a bit to sports like, throes your body weight towards the bars more than I can take, too much pressure on my dodgy hand and I'm in tears.
Go for the triple, the engine is a stonker, I think it got rammed up the arse by something big (arctic probably) so the rear styling is not my fave, but I love Triumph Triples. Had a new Sprint ST 1050 and it was fabulous. Only sold it 'cosI just never used it - too many other bikes I guees. Traded it back in to GT's for an XT125 for my wife and the DR-Z for me. Would (will) have another, as soon as they are cheap enough for me NOT to have to justify spending that amount of dosh on somatt I never use.
Ref the styling, Zard make a low level pipe that transforms the way they look. Look at : www.t595.net for the dirt (very little) and the praise (mega lots).

So, what's the verdict mate, did the wallet get a battering, did a test ride come into things, do you have a fave, ain't the Speed Trip bloody small when you get up close?
I hear you on the service costs - this has better intervals than my busa tho, but hey its a high-days and holidays toy, I reckon I'll be doing 1 service per year.....
05 plate, 1 owner, 991 miles - he had a collection of bikes and traded this in for a harley something or other....
05 and 991 miles, only 9 miles till its run in then
my 10000 mile a year are pure pleasure, I get too much time off
brought my Daytona via dealer off a guy with who had few bikes, got it last june, 02 plate 3000 on clock, never been out in the wet till I got my hands on it
sold 5 months later with 8000 on clock and still in mint condition
