Well nothing gets a buyer going like seeing there's only 1 left. Vapourworx is officially out of the big carb rebuild kits for 89-95 fzr1000's ! Only cost me $185 usd. Im not a fan of the new normal and pray it changes in a few months.

Nothing picture worthy but ive had moments of time to make progress. I stripped the wheels off the 91 down and got the tires mounted. Hand sanded all the corrosion off with 120 grit paper. Have 220 and 400 to go.

Carb kit has left england but hasnt made stateside. Waiting on a reply for all the o-rings and intake rubbers to see if they are going to ship soon.

I noticed a thread on a zx12r rear shock swap on here literally 5 minutes ago, so a whim i checked ebay pricing. Have one on the way for $42.44 all in.

It’s all going in the right direction. Keep up with the good work. 👍
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Well ive spent the last 2 weeks rebuilding, removing, disassembling, reinstalling, replacing and bleeding the front brake system on my slabby. Ive almost run 2 quarts of brake fluid thru it and gave it one last go today so i would be soo frustrated that rebuilding carbs sounded better.

I now have the midset to service the carbs. But before i do that i need to id and mark where each seal is in this seriously big kit. Unfortunately it didnt come with needle/seats so i'll have a very close eye on them, and if necessary order them asap as they are 8-12 days away.

$400 usd in rubber and bearings. I still need a cam cover gasket but i have time before i need it. Crossing my fingers the valve clearances are good, I should be ok there as its 14k miles or so on the engine.

If you own a fzr1k i highly suggest you buy the rubber carb to intake unions. They wont be available before long, like early gsxr's.

In the garage ! There are actually 2 different part numbers for them, 2 left of the chain and 2 on the right side. Yamaha got real fancy with orientation tabs and slots on them so things only fasten one way. I'll be reinstalling the engine with the carbs installed since there is a major lack of room to get at the clamps. Im also looking for hex head bolts to replace the phillips head screws on the inlet clamps.

I looked the part #'s up real quick. They are $15.76 each over here and took almost 3 weeks to get to me.

Face all the clamp screws so they point towards the headstock. Inlet rubbers can be flipped and rotated so they face where you need

Let me know the length of the clamp screws you need. I bought in bulk so should have some. Unfortunately I buy a lot of items like this so have lots of options. Therefore would need to know which size is needed

Im pretty sure there are tabs and notches where everything fits properly. Easily done with the engine out, not soo much when its in the frame. Im no engineer, i'll keep it as intended. I'll measure the screws when i get out there today.
