here are some pics as promised
first i used the box ally to bolt to the origional threaded bracket holder
then i had a length of 10mm solid bar which i bent 2 identical shapes using a pipe bender
then i cut some more box section and drilled 2 holes where the mirrors will be attached and also a vertical hole where the solid bar will be bolted up
then i roughly made a shape with the pipe bender like this
and this will attach round by the clocks somehow / not quite figured this out yet but i'm sure it'll come to me
any suggestions / alterations welcome

Coming along nicely.
Couldn`t you use flat bar for going around the clocks, will be easier to drill through the bar/fairing than the round bar?
Do you really need support right around the fairing, would a short piece of bar bolted to the box either side be enough?

Is that one of those "easy-to-clean-behind" hinged reg plate holders?!

I noticed that too but I didn't want to say in case you beat me up in the play ground
.
That would bug me something rotten if it was mine. Is it possible to straighten it up at all?
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Just elongate the holes on the bracket and nip it up.
