I think you might be thinking of Nagai who was killed on the yzf750 when he was colin edwards team mate at yam in wsb. He and Abe got mixed up by alot of people. Unless they took their lids off that is. Poor old Nagai had some pretty bad teeth. Still a bloody good rider though.
If I remember right...Nagai was killed when he high-sided and the bikes back wheel threw the bike into the air which then unfortunately came down ontop of him
