The airbox is now on hold for the moment, still havent decided which route to take.
My R1 calipers arrived Saturday morning, so spent the afternoon in the garage fitting them.

Been a bit quiet this week, apart from fitting new chain, sprockets, and a new engine sprocket nut and lock washer.

Not much to report lately, been busy with other things.
Calipers have been stripped, cleaned and bled.
Got hold of a FZR1000 airbox, and found that its too big to fit into the 750 frame, its too long and wide at the front end.
Ive cut out the bottom of a 750 airbox, cut the bottom out of an Ace box, and taken the Ace box and 750 bottom to be plastic welded, no pics as yet as it aint ready.
Few jobs to do over the weekend, pics to follow.

R1 rear caliper and hanger bracket finally arrived.
Spindle size and disc are the same size, so pretty much a straight swap......

After fitting, a couple of problems, firstly, disc bolts catch the hanger bracket, and caliper needs spacing out from hanger bracket to centralise the disc.
This was done using 3mm spacers...........

Marked out the area where the disc bolts were catching, and ground out material from rear of hanger bracket..........

Job almost done!
Just need to make up a torque arm.
Going to get one made up from stainless steel, this will fit on to front caliper bolt, 3mm thick, to replace the spacer thats fitted there at the moment.
