Greetings, has anyone here installed a manual cam chain tensioner on an FZR1000? I am thinking about going with PSR on my 1990
Their instructions seem generic and mention blocking off the automatic tensioner oil feed line?
I am looking for the steps involved if anyone has done it please.
Thanks,
Pete.

Modifying your engine is wrought with pitfalls, if the website doesnt know that the original is a sprung rack design, I wouldn’t trust it.
Fit an original YZF750 one, they rev higher so must be better? I have one on my 1070 EXUP it it works just fine

Re: Manual Cam chain tensioner procedure
Thank you for responding. The reason that I am asking is because it seems that new OEM parts are no longer available (including YZF), I have yet to remove mine to check where its adjustment is. I have a noisy exup valve rattle at idle, I greased the spindle and added the compression spring that was missing and adjusted cables per manual. I am concerned that I may be hearing spme cam chain rattle also.
thanks,
Pete

To eliminate Exup rattle adjust the cable so the valve isn’t resting against its home stop in the chamber
