I've had this trip on my radar for a while now. Today was a perfect day to pay it a visit. :nod: I never realised how big it was until I stood underneath it.

It was a nice ride up there but an even better one coming home by a different route. I stopped off at the market town of Northallerton for a tea break.

I did 230 miles and enjoyed everyone of them. :D :D :D :D

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

i used to drive by that monstrosity on my way to Newcastle. not something ive ever had the urge to get close to.
