aftermarket silencers

Post by jcr »

any favourite brands, do they offer any improvements other than sound as a straight swap out from standard?
or do they only really benefit if tuning?

I ran a Quill stainless oval on my Foxeye. Don't think it increased power but the bike had plenty anyway.

My Gixer had an Akra which was barking mad with the baffle out.

My top tuning tips:
Keep off the pies
Keep your chain lubed
Pump up your tyres
Keep on keepin' on.

Are scones acceptable?
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Looking at the pix again reminded me what a cracking bike that was.
Apart from the C&F run (remember that chaps?) it took me through France, Spain and Germany many times. Anyone else notice how everything goes silent above 150mph?
Happy days.
Keep on keepin' on.

So you're struggling with the pies.
