Hello, introduce myself, I live just south of Chester and recently purchased a 3GM FZR1000

Its a one UK owner bike, with around 7000 miles, was imported into the UK around 1998

I bought it as a non-runner, but evidence and bills show that it ran about a Year ago.

I've posted in the technical section, need some help to get it running, and look forward to getting out on it

That looks like a cracking bike and a keeper. I'm truly amazed that they are still out there.

I'm also a new member of this forum and have found a enormous amount of technical and parts help here. I wish my recently acquired '92 FZR1000 looked as good as your bike! With the help of the members here it may, someday.....

I'm in the USA and don't know where Chester is, but Nuggit sent me a map and I'm going to see if I can find it

i look forward to getting it running, made some good progress today, and the help from fellow members has been invaluable

be good to put faces to names in the future, I guess there are a few meets organised now and then ?

I used to be from the Wirral but have been in pembs for 20 years now, i need to get my exup back on the road but always something that takes priority,
this year i think i may just get my arse into gear

had a great run out on it at the Weekend. I had an R1 new in 1999, feels very similar, but I prefer the lower seat height to the R1

it has lovely balance, and the engine pulls like a train !

That's the thing about the Exup - any gear just twist and go. It'll still kill any of those rev monsters out there.
