God, I'm bored!

It's the ending of winter.
I've got loads of stuff going on but everything is a bore compared with being out on your favourite road. Serious withdrawal symptons.

You guys still on two wheels will have (nearly) done your winter fettling and will be chewing your knuckles in frustration until the weather opens up.

Although New Toy won't be taken out until the roadshit clears up, I couldn't anyway. It's back at the dealer having a very expensive (for him) problem with keyless-go sorted out. Parts on back order from Germany etc, etc.

I almost feel sorry for him but, hey, I'm a retail customer. I'd never buy one of these things privately.

Bored!! You can say that again. I'm going bloody mental here. Sorry to hear about your car Chris but that needs to be put right matey. Was he trying a fast one? As for jobs on the bike. All I need now is a needle roller bearing for the suspension linkage. From what I've found out today is I can only get one from Yamaha so I'll be sitting down when I ask how much. Look on the the bright side mate we alter TT UE clocks next month.

No bearing specialists where you are? Bet it's not a unique Yamaha part.
Most electric and bearing parts for cars and bikes are generic.
My dealer is being very good. When I collected the New Toy I said I hoped his workshop had checked all the functions. There are so many electronics and interlinked systems that I didn't have time to go through them all on my test session.
I might even bring New Toy to Lincoln Bike Fest - except it would mean 4 Exups would have to park out of town to give me space.
When do we get out? When the daffs come out.

BTW did you try Wemoto for parts?

First port of call was Markmans where I've bought them before. I've tried all my local bearing suppliers to no avail. It was Markmans that told me Yamaha are the only supplier for the one I want. I'll try splatshop tomorrow. I have one more local to try tomorrow. As for taking space up of four exups you can stick your car in the multistorey car park over the road where it belongs.

In which case I'll just bugger off to Willingham Woods and mix it with the nutters. Also, the New Toy will never be going in a multistorey.
