The bike arrived from Britain a bit scratched up plus there was a deep scrape 3" by 1" hidden under an aftermarket yam emblem on the tank, the wheels had been hand painted (plus anything with rust was lazily painted over with silver paint) the left side FZR decal had been ground scraped and then hidden with black tape and the silver on the left panel was also gouged. The scrapes were all filled and then I airbrushed with paint matched by a paint supplier and clear coated (who knew Nissan paint was a spot on match?). The wheel was sent for restore, hub was powder coated, everything cleaned and polished. The chain guard was broken but it melted with a soldering iron pretty easily so that was fixed. Looks a bit better though I need to get it tuned up, shims replaced and the carbs balanced.
Figure I should have it back to what it should be in time for next spring.
