Difference between an 'R' & 'RU' silencer?

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

I have two almost new exup silencers. One has a sort of stainless (chrome) finish and the other has a gold finish. i always thought that the stainless one was from the R model and the gold one from the RU :retard: Anyone Know?

The gold looking one was the first modification from the original on the 1990 R model.

It's described in the blurb as, 'Baked Stainless and White Chrome'
1992 RU midnight blue, Wiseco 1070, 6 speed, r1 calipers, ducati discs , 157 bhp crank, Ohlins shock

Now that's interesting, the part number for the 'muffler' on the 89 model actually references to the pre exup exhaust so I'm guessing is different?
