The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.
One of my M6 allen head bolts that holds the bracket on for the chainguard as stripped it's thread. I'm going to have to re-tap it to the next size up.
I'd be very grateful if anybody has a spare one.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
M7 aint a REGULAR size so I dont keep them around but it is available. I'd have to order them in if I needed them for anything...a bit like metric fine etc, theres only a limited few places that keep them. Normal DIY places wont have them on the shelf
Try stigsfastners or do an ebay search, they'll come up fairly cheaply
if you want to borrow a bracket temporarily until you get it sorted you'd be more than welcome. I can pop it in the post asap if you like. With the bolt etc.

I thought John meant the thread in the alloy swing arm was stripped, not the bracket
I think you're probably right. Once again I have proved that I should keep my mouth shut. Never mind, it's the thought that counts, isn't it? A swing arm could prove to be a little more difficult.
Interesting, my bike came without a chain guard so I've recently purchased one but have yet to fit it, does anyone have the bracket/s they wish to sell please?
ive got a bag of M7 bolts, ill have to check the pitch and length for you tonight, length is probably around 20-25mm and im almost certain the TP is 1.00mm.
