crash bobbins

well iv brought some crash bobbins for the just incase and the bolts too big but have been told they are for my model of bike.
do I need to weld a plate onto the frame to screw them into?

No, they should be an M6 thread like the bolts that they replace.

Found on flea bay some bobbins but they say for the ru. They should fit the r model tho shouldn't they Chris?

Just make sure your bobbins bolts are properly engineered. Good ones, like R&G are designed so the bolt bends on impact. Bad quality ones either snap, so are useless, or rigid so the impact forces are transmitted to the frame with obvious consequences.

261419167802 is the ebay number if anyone knows if they will fit the r model. I asked the bloke an he says yes but thing he didnt know what the r model was until I told him. So im abit wary
