A couple of questions.

Post by yzf750Jim »

I would like to know if swapping my standard exhaust on my 1993 YZF 750 will effect the way my exup valve works.

Also I am finding my front brakes scar the life out of me when I grab them....I have read on the net that you can soften them off by only filling the front do bottle with half the amount of fluid....

Any help please......

I have a micron race pipe fitted to my bike with no problems at all.

As for the front brake question. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the front do bottle?? Do you mean the brake reservoir? If so, you need to have the level of brake fluid showing in the sight glass. I've never heard of only filling it up half way. That could cause you real problems with letting air into the system then you'llbe buggered when it come to braking.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Sorry meant to say front fluid bottle :retard: :retard:...just blame the predictive text on my kindle.....

Cheers stig will get them out this week and give it a go.....I need to get my front forks rebuilt as I have been having low speed front wheel wobbles and have read that the most likely cause is the front forks.....seems like the ideal time to do them...

My rear shock has just been rebuilt.....it's took nearly 3 weeks...apparently with my bike been a 1993 the shock is obsolete so the bloke at Carl ward's has had to order a Bush from Holland.

I just hope it's not a wacky backyard Bush. :unibrow: :unibrow:

low speed wobbles could be a few things...

head race faulty either worn or loose
low tyre pressures front OR rear tyres
swing arm bushes causing the tail to wag the dog
front wheel bearings
