New member clocking in to say hi,
My name is Nick (ignore the user name, long story) & I've just fulfilled a lifetime dream of buying an 89 FZR1000r Exup.
The plan is to get it as mint as possible as it's a bike I plan to keep for life, it's currently in amazing condition & has 25k on the clock but I want to bring it right up to original & as high a standard as possible.

Thanks guys, I'm in Chesterfield & am original from Shropshire, the better half is from Lincs so we regularly get into both Lincs & Wales on our Z1000's
The FZR is a toy, bit of a project as I'm a panel beater/painter.
Always wanted one since I passed my test in 1987 & I'm over the moon with the quality of this one.
The only part I am stuck for to make it mint is a set of downpipes (exup of course) I could repair mine but I really want a long term permanent solution

Oh, nearly forgot! Welcome in Nick. Great site this
Hope you do keep the Exup. I have never tired of mine, also an '89 model, and I've owned it for 24 years.
With age comes wisdom.......and senility!!! Who are you again?
Give you a complex!! You can get one bought like everybody else.roadrunner wrote:Now, now chaps. Don't you know you'll give me a complex.nuggitt wrote:Then he was off like shit off a shovel.Stig wrote: Roadrunner said that too until it was time to pay the bill at the cafe
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
