Had a fantastic ride out today.
There was 9 of us alltogether including me. They all met up at my place at 11am. From there we went to...
Castle Howard then we stopped at a place called Hovingham for a break at the spa tea rooms. Twas very select.
Then on to Thirsk, Ripon, Masham , called at the Manor motorcycle cafe near Leyburn. Then on to Richmond, Scotch Corner, Stokesley, Helmsley, Malton and them back home for about 7pm ish. Approx 180 mile in total. Most of this was done on the B roads. We went through some beautiful villages and the scenery was beathtaking.
The weather was gorgeous and the bike went rather well too. Gave it a couple a blast to clear it's throat so to speak. All in the legal speed limit of course.
Best ride of the year so far.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

In the past I've always had Bridgestone battlax's on the bike. I was always pleased with them. It was roadrunner who converted me on to Michelins this time.
I've only had a couple of rides out this year and they seem pretty good. I I always get any tyre warmed up before I start playing the hero. I'm getting good feed back and the grip is good too. The chicken strip is getting narrower every time I go out. I'm down to half an inch now.
