Fangs "new" toy!!
Right then, lets get back on topic shall we!!
Just a small update, whilst I'm waiting for some exhaust springs to arrive along with some stainless rivets I busied my self today by cleaning my calipers, bowl of soapy water and a toothbrush is the key!!
Then checked all the bleed nipples move (as these will be replaced at a later stage) and cleaned and stripped the clutch slave cylinder.
Whilst the slave cylinder was apart it seemed like an ideal opportunity to paint it as the gold won't match anything else on the bike!!
Then decided to play with the exhaust some more!!
Made some spring clips to weld to the link pipe (from an old wire coat hanger )
Then spent a good half hour squaring off the link pipe header end with a flap wheel, as I'd cut it on the piss!.
Next cleaned the inside of the other end with a rotary bit as it only pushed into the can 10mm and it should go in by 27mm.
That sorted I sat with a cuppa and studied the can mount.
Despite spending a great deal of time the other day carefully bending the can strap to closely follow the contours of the can, I'm not happy with the aesthetics of it, it looks like an add on and I prefer the look without it.
It seems cleaner, but the can needs support of one sort or another.
So I came up with the idea of something like this.
Not the final shape, just a rough idea in paper, finished bracket will be made from ally sheet and attached by drilling out the existing rivets and re-rivetting.
Opinions please!!!

Sorry Ian but I think one of them MotoGP style end cans would look better.

Play Safe! Play Hard!!
Right then, broke out the cardboard to hash out a bracket template
Ally cut, but obviously looks 'KIN ugly
So came up with a little design more pleasing to the eye
Excess ally trimmed off
Test fitting for the umpteenth time just to make sure
Bracket looks ok from here which is what I'd hoped for
So after a little final trimming its out with the polishing mop
So this is where I am, waiting for some more rivets to arrive as I bought a 10 pack cos I only needed 9.
But now I have drilled 2 more out to mount the bracket I'm 1 short
