)Get a g clamp on the slave cylinder and push the piston back in.
That'll push the fluid ( and hopefully air) back into the reservoir.
JUST DO IT SLOWLY, OR YOU'LL SPRAY BRAKE FLUID ALL OVER YOUR PAINTWORK,
best to put an old dust sheet over the bike and put rags around the reservoir.
Then try bleeding again with the clamp in place.
another trick I use is , with the clamp in place, try and orientate the bars so the return hole in the master cylinder is the highest point, then do 4 or 5 quick full stroke pumps (oo er ) and immediatly after this just lightly apply pressure to the lever and you should see small bubbles come out of the return hole in the master cylinder.
repeat until you get a lever, can take some time but you dont waste fluid with this method, and once you get a lever the rest should be easy as the only parts that have fluid in them are the line and the master cylinder.
Hope this helps AND makes sense.............

Bleed it with the bike level on a paddock stand. Crack the banjo off first and bleed it to there then nip it up and bleed the cylinder.

litle tale about clutch bleeding
there i was in the garrage at oulton on a track day about to set off for my second session when "no clutch" i shreeked unscrewed the top fluid in pumpy pumpy pumpy and even more pumpy but bugger all but farting noises from the bleed nipple like it had a curry from our local indian still more pumping and getting desperate noticed the fluid in the master cylinder wasnt going down took a good look then noticed that yamaha fit a bloody pond liner in the master cylinder
removed, filled, bled, mounted, went on track, fell off(not the clutches fault)
what an idiot
yes i hear you all say but i did not have to tell you

You need to clamp the pipe then and see if you can get the lever to get feel better. If the lever starts to feel better that rules out your master. Then crack the banjo off at the cylinder and use the banjo as a bleed nipple. When that shows fluid pumping on the lever pull then it will bleed from the nipple mate.Lukather wrote:Foookin ell Joe...i've been bleedin it for weeks . going to strip it back and do what fang says ...

Seems to be a problem often posted on here. Its just getting the sequence right and it should work every time.
open nipple.
pull lever back and hold back.
close nipple.
release lever.
repeat above over and over.
always keep an eye on fluid level and top up if need.
Its never failed for me. Some people pump lever multiple times to try and get pressure too early and open nipple at the wrong times letting air back into system.

Agree
My fluid level dropped below the spyglass last week and it was sucking air in. Took cap off and filled with fluid put cap back on without the screws. Gave it a few pumps and held lever in and opened nipple. Load of air came out. Did the same again 3 or 4 times and lever was up to pressure again Job done
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.
