Sorted! Looks like I'm going to have some gallery updates to do soon, especially now that Peter's 'Ace has gone to another member (does anyone else get dizzy with all this?)
dyno jeted..... k+n filter, braided hoses, decent chain & sprokets (can't remember what he fitted?) load of s/steel bolts going on (good old e-bay).. carbon fibre (not but it looks like it hahaha), hugger.....
rear seat cowl next on list......
but spent tooooooooo much on me Wolf Race leathers at NEC last year - but was a bargin hahahaha an i was celebrating ......oh yeah got a new helmet an new Sidi boots, hence no money for a while......
still i op 2 be out lots soon - thats if the weather ever improves
hi gav can't remember what make can - will check it later, but bargin off my fav place e-bay......need commission me thinks lol....
as for the gold bits yeah i wanted to do that think black an gold the dogs watsits......
but being short of the readies going for black an silver its easier an perhaps a little different in a plain standard sort of way.....
I was working at the bike show and accidentally got chatting to the guy on the pro-bolt stand so got all the fairing bolts in gold, look nice with the EBC contoured discs with the gold centres and iridium screen. Anything more would just be garish, but have considered a gold chain.....
don't think u can add 2 much gold colour with black seen many bikes in streetfighter over years, naked an some with fairings an they all look gd, especially with gold chain (i've had one b4 an they do look good) and gold wheels as well
you thought of trimming the tail and inserting indicators in the rear fairing? does look quite neat when you do it. Chopped almost all the plastic out leaving only the hidden section and enough to hold a the number plate. Theres tidy!!
got the indicators from busters and they were here the next day and so easy to fit, ony cost a tenner. Fitting them was a bit crude but worked, took off rear fairing half heated steel pipe with blow lamp cut hole in fairing filed down and fitted indicator. Simple if brutal. Did lots of measuring first so they were in the right place so didnt look a tit. But the busters ones come with a flexible washer/bolt in plastic that will flex and deform to the indise of the fairing giving a really good fit! Worth a look.
can post up a picture if you want to see what it looks like after. And beware of battery drain on cheap and cheerful alarm/immob/start up have heard some nasties....
agree with u about cheap electrical things, that also why i gonna get an expert 2 fit em..... he is brill with the bikes an only 5 mins when u av 2 walk ........
whatever i need doing he seems able 2 do an he is v reasonable on his prices an totally trust worthy as its his living (always cash an no receipt though hahahaha) but the guys i spoken to around here who use him have done for years an they all rate him as "top bloke" on bikes etc.
