Fluctuating Oil Level
This is an odd one.
Went for a blast yesterday and after about 40 miles the oil level light came on. Odd as I'd checked it before I set off and it was at the max dot. Pulled over and checked the oil level and sure enough it was only just above the bottom dot, but was above it, just, so I carefully ...

New Private Plate arrived today
Ordered a private number plate for the bike when I registered it. Here in North Dakota (US) it's a little easier than in the UK, although they apparently check Urban Dictionary to make sure your "yeah, it's me Mum's initial, init" reason isn't really some slang for a ladies lovely bits.

Holy Diaphragms
Thanks. I still think the '89 I had was better, especially in the red and blue on white (same as yours I believe).
Update: Just replaced all the carb diaphragms as all four had holes in them. Bike now idles and rarely needs any choke. Thanks to Stig I saved a fortune buying just the tops from a ...

Been a while but bought another FZR1000 / Moved to US
Hi all,
I've been away from these forums for a few years. Sold "Florafumi" when I moved to Canada (2011) and now living in the U.S. since 2012.
After three years sans bike I found a 1995 FZR1000 on craigslist and on 15th July 2015 took the 280 mile trip (each way) to collect it.

Florafumi
Ahem, cough. :D Sorry but Rossi named himself Rossifumi after Norick Abe. Norick's really called Norifumi Abe and Vale was blown away by his riding style when he was a teenager. I know its my fault. :unibrow:

Everyone... Meet Florafumi
Her name?
Florafumi made up from two words: "Flora" and "Fumi".
"Flora" is the goddess of prostitution (costs money to ride it!!) and "Fumi" after Valantino Rossi dubbed himself "Rossifumi" as a mark of respect to the MotoGP rider that was killed.

I recommend PFM Iron discs to everyone. Ridiculously good stopping power wet or dry but the do rust! Oh, Bendix pads of course help.
