I look in most days and the Facebook group. A little more activity on there, but a little quieter of late. Guess the winters coming on and our bikes are becoming more scarce! Been quite lucky with the weather. Have ridden out on my exup the last six Sundays in a row There is always the next job to d...

With the carbs off the bike if you remove the float bowls each carb can be checked by closing three of the carbs fuel inlets using the floats using string if needed but be gentle. The fourth carb inlet can be checked by blowing into the fuel line and operating the float. Also if you have a pressure ...

When you had the carbs off did you check for a split diaphragm, float issue or fuel inlet blockage/ jammed needle valve. Also are you sure that coil lead no. 4 is not arcing out when fitted. Hope its something like this otherwise you need to look at valve train components or head gasket. Yeah first...

Running on 3 cylinders
Any advice guys. After a flat out blast a couple of weeks back my bike started running on 3 cylinders. Looked at the ignition system first. Changed the coils and leads. New spark plugs cleaned the pick up coil etc. But still not running on number 4 cylinder. Even replaced the exup servo and fitted a...

What a difference a week makes. Yes lovely sunshine last week and 850+ bikes through the gate. This week set out in nice sunshine then when only about 5 miles from Weston the heavens opened. Got drenched. To late to turn around. Just 130 diehards through the gate. Most of which were sheltering under...

Weston Bike Night
First Weston Super Mare bike night tonight. Sun was shining. Plenty of stunning looking bikes. Lots of classic GSXR 750/1000. Fireblades. ZX7R, RSV etc, but didn't see another FZR1000!! Our bikes are a rare sight these days. https://i.postimg.cc/13C5dg0m/Bike-Night-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/FKkmnTs...

I decided to replace my chain and front sprocket over the weekend. Already replaced the rear sprocket a few months back when I fitted a new rear wheel. When I removed the sprocket cover, every thing is covered in engine oil. Not enough to drip onto the floor, but I cant for the life of me see where...

Whenever I removed the sprocket cover on any of my bikes there was so much crud in there from old chain lube, road grime and grit etc. If I used Scottoil or similar it flung all over the place if I overlubed but looked nice and clean. My Foxeye never dripped oil in 14 years and 55000 miles. Drank a ...

Never tried adding a die to the engine oil. Sounds like a good idea. But I did change the oil just a few weeks ago. The oil below the sprocket and around the top of the kick stand looks very clean! Have already replaced all the cooling system seals, so the remaining oil seals are probably well overdue
