Yamaha may already know did you ask them, the corrosion from the collector box does creep up the downpipes, you can see it on another thread. Fortunately the entire exhaust is not always wet, like inside a braking system, to accelerate the process. The accident I spoke of in that car was a deformed...

Hi Nuggitt, The vid looks correct from this side of the screen. Bringing your brakes back to a safe condition is more than important, you know that already. It would bug the hell out of me too. The LH caliper may well settle in by itself, would just keep an eye on that one, over your coming rides. W...

Hello Nuggett, It sounds like a full or partial blockage somewhere inside the system, first resisting and then holding residual pressure. The wheel should not be stiff at all to spin by hand. Just a slight touching sound, rubbing of the discs on the pads, especially if the disk has a little bit of t...

The fluid does not take all its debris in one go. It gets shaken up by bouncing over the road surface then deposited little by little, all over the internals. Gravity will cause sediment to settle and then it gets shaken up all over again, on the next ride. Migration I suppose you could call it. Yes...

Hope it solves your problems Nuggett  Hello Yamaexup, the post says to return the pistons and seals to their respective holes, as the seals wear to match too. In any case, it is good practice to return stuff where you found it, that way there is no discrepancy, as pistons can become out of roun...

Hi Yamaexup, There is a backface to the pistons where grease could be pushed into the chamber, Nuggitt did not state that he put grease on just the sides of the piston. Installing a greasy piston could cause blobs of grease to form on the rim of the backface. The piston moving in and out pumps fluid...

Its a gorgeous shovelnose Kurt, great colour, you must be so pleased to own an American Icon, thanks for the fine pics. I understand why you put a pre emissions 73 in it and a 455 no less, boy thats a monster. Tim never stopped talking about getting a Muncie Toploader, with the auto trans though he ...

Hi Kurt, Lovely Exup it really is turning out nice. Well done bruv. :D But it is hoisted right next to one of my favourite cars, it looks like a 73 Trans Am with oem snowflakes. Like my mate Tim had about 30yrs ago, he moved to the island of Jersey and it was bought on the spot by a local. Speed lim...

Hello Kurt, Yes Teego was correct about Factory Pro, I emailed the chap some time ago and he was very helpful, I shall get the Ti Pro kit before I emigrate to Spain. My Exup 89 has only 27k miles so it runs ok at present. Your XS was indeed ugly at the beginning, still a bargain at $300, but you hav...

Yes I`ve read about the USA ethanol problem, but boy I didn`t realise it could go that far. Who calls it the ugly duckling, they must be paid up members of the Stevie Wonder fan club. Hey so glad to see you bought the Honda for the wife, top man as we say over here. As for your needles, there is a c...

Hello Nuggitt, Even slightly dragging brakes will cause a huge build up of heat in very quick order. At that point they could stick on fully or fail to operate at all. Ask me how I know this. The spots will surely be sealed with an o ring, dirt trap, if not then that would be a disappointment. In an...
