Used box that was rebuilt with 10 brand new cogs.

All dogs are as new, and bearings turn free and smooth.

Tall first gear and then about 800-900 rpm between shifts.

Yes very rare. A homologation special, and I think the first from yamaha.

I'll replace the connectors, check headlight load and fingers crossed I won't have the problem again. Scary when you are 3/4 of an hour from home without tools, and impossible to get to the battery! And no insurance if it happened to go up ...

Thanks Stig, Unfortunately mine fused itself together, so I had to cut it out of the loom. Thankfully, it is a common type of plug. I'll have to check the wattage of the bulbs, it was at night, so the lights were on.

You obviously haven't had a problem since?

Hi, I've got a near new (refurbished) 1WG close ratio box, that I want to sell. I'm wondering if anyone has knowledge of these engines?

First question is what other 400's or 600's would this box fit?

And does anyone have a copy of the 1WG kit manual they could email me? I want to confirm whether ...

I had the opposite... I couldn't turn mine off. It would run even with no ignition switch connected. In the block connector behind the head stock, two of the terminals had melted together to make a circuit
