Exup 1000

Hi all, believe it or not I still have a problem and cant get the bike to run right at all. Ive checked for leaks using carb cleaner but cant find any. I have new carb rubbers and clamps, new air filter and plugs. Float height has been set to 14mm. I have to set the mixture screws to 3 1/2 turns out ...

The problem is still there with a second had set of carbs ! The fault seems to be carb 4 so I've focussed on the intake area. I've replaced the o-ring in the intake stub (???) between the carb and the engine. Yet to see if its the problem !

Yet another disassemble and rebuild but still the same. Blip the throttle and the revs stay about 2000 then go down slowly.

Will the tensioner re-set itself once its reinstalled - the manual does say to remove it completely then re-install?

Apologies for yet another question.....my bike has 31,000+ on the clock. I guess it sounds a bit "rattly" to me (but might be quite normal of course) - could this be the camchain at all and is it possible to check this and / or the tensioner? I've been tempted to check the valve clearances too ...

Ok - I'll give them a go.......my current settings are probably midway i..e about 14-15 clicks out on both. I've set the sag so thats OK too.

Thanks - generally my floats have a bit of spring in them but still compress under the weight of the float itself. i've tried the idea of tipping the carbs a bit so the tang just rests on the pin - this gives better results. I have an Ohlins S46HR1C1 shock but I'm not sure of the "standard" settings. Does anyone have experience of this shock (or similar)? The range of adjustment (clicks) is pretty large.
