I ran 16/48 on my Foxeye. This gave several changes which all added up to a livelier bike.
Better acceleration.
Slightly closer gear ratios helped keep it in the sweet spot.
Slightly shorter wheelbase helped turning, especially when fitted with shorter dog bones which sharpened the steering head ...

What are the pros and cons of 16/17 front sprocket Stig?

Hi guys, I'm having difficulty getting a spark from my old 1990 1000R have gone through everything even had a 'bike mechanic' look at it and it still don't work! Last resort-anyone have a loom that works for a pre-RU exup they can flog me? It has to be fully functional though. Thanks

Checked the pickup coil resistance it's within tolerance! It's driving me barmy!

Still can't get it to start will check pickup sensor next!

No alarm or immobiliser, power at the coils, starter turns over, kill switch, stand cut off all ok.

I've tried everything but I still have no spark! Coils are OK battery checked everything according to the service manual I've even got a local bike mechanic in and still drawn a blank! I'm on my second ecru, fuel pump, all fuses and relays including the earth. I'm at my wits end! Any suggestions ...
