Hi Kurt, If the end of the crank is the same as my YZF (which I'm sure it will be), all you need is the correct size Hex head bolt (M8?) and a flange nut. Screw the flange nut on the bolt (with the flange side opposite the bolt head) and then screw the bolt into the end of the crank. then tighten th...

Bigger sensor controls when the fans kick in.
Smaller one is for the temperature gauge.
Has it suddenly stopped working or just after working on the bike?

The YZF tap is different to the FZR in that there is no ON/OFF lever.
Fuel should only flow when the engine is running as it works off a vacuum system.
Rebuild or replace the tap will sort it.
Petcock - someones been watching too much American Chopper

As Nuggitt has said, the key to it is using the correct fitting screwdriver.
Push down hard on the screwdriver as well as turning to ensure it stays in place.
With the heat and spray they should come out.

I would agree with Teego, it's a fuel issue.
Could be a faulty float needle valve.
I've had one go before.

Try NRP Carbs, they should be able to sort you out with the bits you need.

Not had that issue on mine.
From memory it's a crude fixing like a self tapper into the plastic.
My guess is the plastics got brittle over age and split once you have screwed into it.
You could maybe glue a stud into the mounting point and bolt it that way?

Weekends mostly revolve around the kids activities and when i do get a free one its for catching up with jobs ...

Its just one of Yamaha's fancy tools that was useful for the dealers workshops but not essential for the home mechanic.
Its only an adapter to be able to rotate the crank.

Is it still in place in the exhaust rather than missing?
Are you sure it came out when you removed the exup?
