The second one looks like the connection to the TPS on the carbs just like on my YZF 750. The first one looks familiar and if its the same as the 750 sits in front of the carbs near the coils. I've not had chance to look at the FZR so this is just my opinion having played with the 750. Hope that hel...

Cheers Fellas, I'll check them all while i'm at it. I did read somewhere that the vacuum line that operated the fuel supply can some times fail and leak extra fuel in! I'll bear that one in mind too. The jets thing - a few different set ups but the ones i'm opting for are for my year bike so hopeful...

Cheers Stig, Looking at a couple of references my main jets are 120 across the board. My slow running ones say #45 but the manuals say 60 & 120 so hopefully that may sort it? So far the passages look clear, just need to blow them through. I did notice when I took the carbs off that no1 carb was ...

Hi Fatdog, Thanks for the reply. It has always had a below 3000 revs issue, especially when pulling away - spits/fart/jumps etc. Once it is over 3000+ it is a lot better but the air screws were out to 3.5 turns. The bike did have a dynojet kit on when i got it, but removed that to get back to standa...

Engine stand

Hi TTSS, this is the one I made for working on the engine on the bench. Keeps the engine upright and stable. http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/uu133/tashlotty/image_1.jpeg I'm working on a way to slowly raise and lower in and out of the frame. It fits into the a couple of holes at the front and sup...

YZF750 Carb issue

Evening all, I am having a few carb issues, mainly low down. I did checked the jets for markings and they do say(I think) .45. However,I used some small drill bits to gauge the actual size as i suspect they have been messed with and got a drill in that was 1.32 mm with wiggle room!!! The one I am re...

Wanted - YZF750 Carbs

Hi, With ongoing issues that I believe are carbs related I am looking to acquire a set of useable carbs to hopefully get me back on the road.. Or if anyone has the bodies I could build up from what I have? The bike was modified before and looks like some of the brass holes in the front have been dri...

Evening all, Decided to invest in some new valves and picked them up today. Hopefully this will sort my head out for a while. Going get the head skimmed a smidge, and hot washed. New seals, cam chain and gaskets and the job should be a good un? If anyone else is looking for valves, may I suggest buy...

Cylinder Inlet Valves

Afternoon all, After a mishap (?) with the cam tensioner deciding it didn't want to be where it should be, it looks like I may need some new inlet valves! I took the head off to check it out, no contact damage but the valves look to be being pulled into the head. Explain why I've done clearances so ...

Cheers for the comments, it's cleaned up nicely and seems to have been serviced on a regular basis even though it's done minimum miles in the last 10yrs.
Just in the process of cleaning the rust from the tank with a bit of electrickery!
So hopefully be up and running shortly?

It's been stood a while, so a few checks and service items to be done but all in all better than I originally thought.

Needs the upper fairing repaired / replaced but they seem to be thin on the ground!

Thanks for looking.

Didn't have to go with anyone in the end, turned out it was only one that was damaged. I had a spare single leg so using that one for parts - so I should hopefully end up with two straight, re chromed original fork stanchions. I was told that 'all bike engineering' supplies good quality stanchions -...
