I had the same on my YZF750, it sounded like a banshee when it hit the power band and that was just the intake noise from the K&N pods.
I'm back to totally standard now and I can definitely feel the difference in power and the way it goes.

Has anybody got a working EXUP motor for sale, to fit a YZF750?

I use the cheapest car 10/40 semi that my local parts shop sell, I've been using this for 10yrs now. With it being cheap it doesn't have the friction modifier's in it, so perfect for bike clutches.

Thinking of blue spots from an R1 on me RU, cause they are cheaper than seals and pistons. Any suggestions for a better (more modern) master cylinder pairing.

I've had blue spots and the MC from a 2005 R1 on my YZF750 for about 8yrs and they work perfect together. I just bleed them each year ...

Found the problem it was the tiny filter that sits in the tee peace of the carb where the main pipe connects, it was blocked to buggery

Thanks, I've got them on now and looking really good, these have been sat in a box since 1996.

The diaphragm was knackered and wouldn't flow any fuel, so I took the diaphragm out and bodged it so that it flowed freely, then fitted a tap exactly like the one pictured.
I've ordered a rebuild kit now, so will take it off and do it properly this time instead of trying to do a quick fix.

Does anybody have a petcock valve they would like to sell?
Has anybody removed the Petcock valve and replaced it with some kind of tap?

I have been fitting some Harris rear sets to my YZF 750, does anybody have any close up pics of them fitted to a bike (for reference)?

I finally got around to checking the carbs today, the needle valve had a bit of muck in it, stopping it from working properly, all sorted now.

The Thunderace shares essentially the same frame, so would think the swing arm will bolts straight in.

I haven't had time to do much with this problem recently, I done a compression test yesterday the results are;

cyl1 dry 120 / wet 235
cyl 2 dry125 / wet 225
cyl3 dry 125 / wet 210
cyl4 dry 130/ wet 210

Cylinder 3 is cool to the touch and the plug is still as new (fitted 4 brand new plugs), so it ...

I've got a set I want to refurbish, what do you do to yours?
