A compression test would help... Do one to rule out a a goosed piston...
I've seen holes blown in piston tops..
Have you done a physical check on your headers whilst the bike is running.. Touch them,,, carefully to see if it's hot on no3..
If it is hot, strip your carbs, check and clean ...

Hi all....
As the title states, has anybody had experience with this set up..
Mine has been done by previous owner, to stage 3.. This includes seating small brass caps into the air jet in the carbs, sealing it off..
My question is, has anybody reversed this MOD and drilled out these caps...this ...

Are box standard needles height adjustable??.. I own 2 exups,, both 1992 models..
One has definitely been jetted/fat adjustable needles (6settings)/main air jet capped off etc..
The other is running standard jets, adjustable need(5 settings) standard air box, main air jets open etc....

Hi...my toobs are round...no mishape, needles are clean,no scoring etc..exup valve stripped, greased and set,.... I know its been jetted, as there is now a cap in the air inlet as described in dynojet instructions..

Hi all..jyst done a carb stripdown, and found its been jetted by previous owner(s)......originally stripped it down to clean and synch carbs to cure a carb pop on number 4 (sitting on bike, last pot on right) and slight bogging in 2nd at low revs to open throttle.
