Got an 8" scar across mine from my neck to the outer edge of my shoulder. I too had a big gap..... about an inch of mush so they just cut it square and bolted the 2 ends together. Then they told me i'd never be able to lift my arm above shoulder height. Well, have i got news for that bloody Honda ...

How it looks now

The pic was of my left collarbone..... a bit bent now after taking to the road again a week after the operations.
