Now that the R1 is all dirty from the rain this morning maybe I should have gone out on the KTM instead.

nice,whats your opinion on the ktm,as i`m thiking of getting one.the one i`m looking at has been converted to 500cc,just wondering are they reliable for a every day 50 mile allround trip.
some twat stuck a genesis sticker on me bike,i don`t even like the band.

I rode a KTM 450 around the Saraha in Morocco, loved them, pulled like a train in the sand dunes.

Found them a bit slow on the main road, had it at full bore on the raod and across dried river beds.

Only weak park apparently is the side stand, you can break it if you get on it with the side stand down, so side stand up before getting on.

i had an old one for a while (lc4 600cc) was great fun until it broke couldnt find the problem so sold it as a none runner.

Was great, did about 800 miles over 5 days all off road, one day was the Paris-Dakar route.

One guy broke his arm, another ruptured an artery in his leg , I broke a clutch lever lol
