Oil.

Post by Goshreally2 »

Hello everyone. I know this has been covered before but I have searched the posts and can't find it. Please could you tell me what oil and grade you are using in your bikes? Are semi synthetic oils a problem in FZRs ?
Well I'll be .....

Plus one on that. Sold my Foxeye in 2010 with about 55000 miles on the clock. Original clutch etc.
It used to drink 1 litre per thousand miles but this was not the fault of the oil.
"It's within spec sir." Like my 1993 Rover Vitesse Turbo.
Keep on keepin' on.

I use the cheapest car 10/40 semi that my local parts shop sell, I've been using this for 10yrs now. With it being cheap it doesn't have the friction modifier's in it, so perfect for bike clutches.
