Could some one post a link or give information regards a lower temperature fan switch please, i have checked ebay etc and there is some around the 90-95 degs mark but im not sure they will fit and as the fzr has a little recess for an o ring m14x1.5 i believe is the pitch of the thread.

With you adding a link NickZT. I've just ordered another one as a spare. The one I bought has nearly tripled in price. :lol: :lol: :thumbsup:
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

FAN SENSOR

Bought me one of these and just got round to fitting it.
Great advice as always here.
Engine warmed up......and great.....fan kicked in!
Job done!
Except......
now the fan comes on as soon as I turn the ignition on, having stood overnight and with a cold engine......
Please.....anyone any idea what I've done wrong? :D

Thanks guys, good shout, oh for such an easy remedy.
But no, tried that, no joy.
Was funny that I warmed the engine up after replacing the sensor and eventually as the engine warmed, the fan started up a short while later as anticipated.....the fan wasn't working with the o/e old unit.
Sounds fine now.
It's just that now it stays on all the time.
Any idea what's inside the little copper sensor......could be something stuck? Might have to buy another?

Thanks Creedexup, it's about a year since I bought it from ebay (I think) so doubt I'd get much recourse there.
Reckon you're right though so will just get on and order another LOL Thanks mate.

But not in a rush as have another scooter to ride too, so have just used your link in this thread to order another.

Thanks all, Ordered a new one - looks like ebay are running out of them - due 13th August, happy with that.

It's a good shout and I did think about copying that idea when the sensor was permanently 'on'.... the switch would turn it off :)....but no, you saved the day with your help Nuggitt and besides, I love Scarborough, went with the grandkids in the caravan only a few weeks ago, jeez it was busy!
But you'd never get me cruising Scarborough front on the Exup, I'd never get that far on it these days 'specially since I got me one of these.....Image
