What's santa brought you?

Post by Stig »

Wife bought me a nice weird fish jackets for cold nights and the obligatory aftershave. My lad bought me a genuine feu orange air freshener for the twincam (if I ever get it finished and back on the road)

Nice! What make/type?

Has it now got to be assembled or is it a completed project?

Got the usual items like body sprays, DVD' chocolate's and the obligatory socks. I'll be getting my big pressie later, in a pair or new bike tyres. That reminds me I ought to ring them up to see if they've got a sale on.
:D
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Stig, it's complete and only done 800 miles since it was completed 2yrs ago. The engine is from a 91 1.6 MX5 and virtually everything else is brand new. It's only 120bhp but weighs 550kg so it goes well enough. I've had it out a few times and even on these cold wet roads it handles really well, you can also easily get it to drift too, but I'm taking it easy on that one.
One bonus of using it on cold roads is that you can see how it handles and when it wants to break away, very good fun!

It's a Haynes Roadster, built using a factory made frame, wishbones etc. The lad who built it has done a really good job, very neat and thought out.

Looking nice them wheels John with the new boots on.
Who did you get to supply & fit them?
Interesting about the wear to the right hand side, I tend to find a similar situation with my Pirelli front.
I would say it is down to the camber design of our roads (they fall either side of the centre for drainage) rather than a fault with the tyres.

Oh, santa got me a nice black visor for my new Arai that I picked up from the bike show (as well as a speeding ticket on the way down  )
