When you press the starter button, is there any clicking from the starter solenoid? The solenoid is the round metalic device just behind the battery which has 2 thick red leads.
A dirty trick is to short these two big connections together with a heavy screwdriver. DO NOT allow the screwdriver to touch the frame.
There will be a powerful spark, so do this in a well ventilated area, and not just after charging the battery. If your starter motor spins, then the starter motor is OK.
shorting the blue/white wire on the solenoid to the frame replicates the action of the starting button. Mine had a problem with a corroded connector under the airbox, so when I shorted this to frame and it turned over - it proved where the problem was.
Check that you are getting 12V onto the other thin wire on the solenoid.
Be careful!

Side stand switch ok
Fuses ok
Reserve switch ok
Servo ok

OK, so lets eliminate things one step at a time.
Have you had the solenoid disconnected at any point? The battery must be connected to the connection that has a little metal jumper connecting the thick wire to one of the little connections.
There should be 12 volts on that little connector all the time regardless of ignitino on or not. A little bulb with wires will prove that.
There is a short blue/white wire with a bullet connector coming from one side of the solenoid. Break open the bullet connector. stick a bit of wire/a nail/a drill bit into blue/white wire which is connected. Short it to frame.
if the bike does not turn over then your solenoid has failed. or a remote chance that the little link to the red wire has failed, or your solenoid is wired the wrong way. This does not depend on the ignition being on as you have completely bypassed everything.

Next step might depend on year of manufacture.
if the bike turned over after the previous, then the problem is that the solenoid is not being connected to frame via the blue.
I would drop the RH switch assembly off so you can see the workings of the start button switch. (2 screws)
Both sides of the switch should have no voltage on them with igntion off.
Turn ignition on, you shoud see 12v appear on one connector of the start switch If this is not happening - then the relay is next place to check.
Have fun!

Seems strange that the relay has stopped working as it is potted, even though it's not been started for a year.

the relay has 2 blue and whites going to it. one from the solenoid, and the other to the start switch.
As far as I know, when the relay operates, it basically connects those two together.
If you short out those two by hand somehow - the start button should now operate. If it does - it proves all the connections in that part are ok
if not then it is the relay itself OR something that is in the circuitry that controls the coil.
Does shorting the blue/whites make the start button operate?

Starter button & relay, I have checked both with a multi meter.
If you ground out blue,white wire the solenoid will activate and start the bike.
The switch has been tested for continuity and is working.
All interlocks have been bypassed and ignition switch.
I'm guessing its a ground problem.
