Engine stand

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

Hi

I took the engine out of my thunderace just before xmas, on my own. This was done with a pair of non ratchet cargo straps, and a small pallet with decent trolley wheels screwed to the bottom.

I loosened off the straps bit by bit in turn untill the mill landed on the pallet, then simply wheeled it away from beneath it.

My bike was on an abba superbike stand at the time.

Probably doesn't help you but thought i'd chip in incase you're desperate.

Engine stand

Hi TTSS,

this is the one I made for working on the engine on the bench. Keeps the engine upright and stable.

I'm working on a way to slowly raise and lower in and out of the frame.

It fits into the a couple of holes at the front and supports the rear underneath. Bolt to the rear secures it.

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Cheers
