Heard a rattle on the ru so first things first I dropped the oil and looked on sump, copper bits sat there so more or less knew what it was , so stripped it down tonight and found one set of really worn shells and scored crank and rod , so I'm in need now of a decent unscored RU crank and set of rods if anybody knows of a set or complete engine, thanks for any help
The R model has different crank, the cam chain and alternater cogs are the other way round, thanks for any help, Dave[/code]

Cheers banner, yeah I've had a look at identifying which shells to use , there's a 5 digit code on crank case 56665 which tells you the main shell diameter then the code on the crank 21211 - ???? โฌ
can't remember last 4 digits which are inner dimensions of mains and big ends also 4 digit code on the rod which will be the outer dimension on them if I'm correct, I've passed all codes onto a yam dealer in stoke to sort out all been well they will be the correct ones, and no I didn't know about not touching with bear fingers but I do now thanks.
Not using same casings as I've drilled hole in the turbo one for oil return, thought with having numbers they could give me the correct size shells .
