What model year exup engines will fit a 1989 frame ?

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

What model year exup engines will fit a 1989 frame ?

Hi , newbie here , had one of the first exup models , wondered what year engines fit straight in ? , ie ru , thunderace ? !!!

both ace and RU will fit. Ace has a single top mount tho'.

RU has different rad and oil cooler...they're combined in the same unit. Also the oil filter is different...spin on cartridge type as opposed to paper element

Both above have basic same shape and size as your original

c'mon stig u should know better lol

ace engine has 2 top mounting holes and will not fit the exup frame

all model years from 89 to 96 will fit strait in with oil cooler mods in the later ru models as stig said .
