helping each other

Hi guys
I admire how you lot seem to help each other to get back on the road. I was reading banners post about finding some parts to get his bike up and running again and wish I had some mates around me here in cape town who I could turn to.
My servo motor's 2 plastic gears are stripped and I can't seem to find some anywhere around here. I don't understand why they stripped though because the valve is free and not sticky at all. Anyway,ill keep looking because the 2 main items keeping me off the road are those plastic gears and a fuelpump lol.

just to echo the point, i really am impressed with everyone on here for their donations, i think its a few beer rounds on me when we meet up in the summer.

as for mine, my exhaust gets here today - i stripped the old one, but both caps are rusted up, and have been re-drilled at least once so they are quite weak now so i just ordered a new one - ill fit that then im ready for the road again when my fuel tank gets here from another forum member glenn.

so yes, beers/chip butties are on me when we next metup

Can't help with the servo but my tip for the fuel pump is to find a motor factor specialising in Japanese cars. Take your old pump along and I bet he'll find one for you far cheaper than a bike shop.

When my fuel pump died, I couldn't locate one for the FZR1000 anywhere. I managed to buy a second hand one for a Thunderarse and mad it fit. It is a battle as there is not much space under the bulge of the tank but was working perfectly until I took it off the road to rebuild.
