I read somewhere the old girl R model doesn't use quite so much oil if I use mineral oil so I thought I'd give it a go. I've been using semi synthetic and have to top it up after every couple of trips out, especially if I've been revvin the nuts off it. Not that I've been much over 8 thousand revs, well, maybe I have but I kind of have to concentrate hard on what I'm doing at that point and tend not to look down at my clocks. I've bought some Shell Advance SX 4T 10W 40 mineral oil and it should be here and ready to use by the weekend. If anybody advises against it please let me know.
