Using super unleaded

When I got the tank back from the sprayer. I put in 10 litres of super unleaded an the rest was from the cans that I had drained from the tank last year. My bike ran ok until I filled up the tank again from the garage with just unleaded. This last ride out the bike was bogging down in town traffic but fine when you were giving it some. Took the old plugs out the other day and #3 plug was caked in crap and wet through, where as the other 3 were a nice browny colour.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Its now in the wifes car....
I'll nip and get some more on my way home tomorrow in a can and fill up with the usual stuff to see if it makes any difference

Some bikes dont run well on super at all.
Another problem is that the petrol station might not get many customers using super and the fuel sits in the tanks for longer sometimes going off.

I only use super in all of my bikes with no problems, because of the effects of ordinary u/l fuel & the vegetable alcohol that fuel now contains. It's only BP super that i've heard contains no biofuel.

Many years ago I went to the Bol d'Or on the Exup & tried using the froggy ordinary u/l & the bike ran really badly. I struggled to use that first tankful & so went for the super the next time...& from then onwards.

Have I missed something here?

I've never heard of veg alcohol or biofuel in standard u/l!

Does that mean the "oil" companies make even more profit?

only ever use morrisons cheapest 95RON in my bikes (including track bike)...never had a problem

I'd use diesel if it would run on it :D , gotta use super now it's got turbo apparently :(

I'm on Tesco's finest. Seems to belt along nicely. :D

Use super unthreaded if your fuel injected, n ordinary if your not. Seeemples. :D

refilled the bike with std u/l and its not cured the problem so its obviously not fuel related

At eh end of last year when i had the lag problem with the throttle I cleaned the carbs in the ultrasonic tank and afterwards it ran fine. i then did something I dont normally do...turned off the fuel and ran the bowls dry. I'm now wondering if its left varnish in the pilot circuit as the bike runs fine after 1/4 throttle

looks like its carbs off again :retard: :crybaby:
