R1 Blue spot caliper seals

Post by YAMAEXUP »

I recollect that someone found that the seals for the blue/gold/silver pucks arn't available on the parts list for the R1, but has been found on a parts list for the XJR1300 or something similar.

Can anybody verify which bike & possibley the part number??

its not the piston seals thats unavailable but the seals that fit to the blanking plugs....they're on the XJR1300 parts diagram but not the R1 diagrams

Had a look for the seals but seems they've been removed from the parts lists. I remember checking to confirm they were available at the time the brakes article was written. Just a shame I didnt write down the parts number or better still order a spare set of seals from Yamaha. i would then have had the parts code AND the sizes of the new seals

I can measure the size of the seal in the rear caliper spot that i have already stripped if that will help
